Ismail Ibn Ibrahim is the Deputy Managing Partner of the firm. He possesses a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Qualifying Certificate in Law (QCL) from the Ghana School of Law and a Master’s Degree in Tax Law from Queen Mary University of London. Prior to being called to the bar, he had a stint with Zoe, Akyea & Co and Oxford and Beaumont Solicitors (currently ENS Africa) as an intern. Since being called to the bar in 2016 Ismail has specialized in tax law, specifically direct and indirect taxation as well as international tax matters.
He brings expertise in tax risk management consulting which involves a review of business operations and creation of a self-supervising tax compliance system in businesses.
Ismail in his tax practice has assisted in successfully reducing client tax liabilities arising from tax audits. He achieves clients’ maximum compliance with tax laws and eliminates tax risks through accurate and consistent legislative guidance to significantly reduce annual corporate tax liabilities. Ismail provides comprehensive transactional tax opinions and advice (including restructuring) to mitigate the incidence of taxes on corporate income, and he is the lead in transfer pricing in the firm.
